TBS 6284 DVB-T2,.. No HD channels tuned

Can anyone help,.. running clean install of ubuntu 14.04.2 and latest TBS drivers.

Card will tune HD channels in other UNIX apps,.. but TVheadend does not seem to want to lock the HD freeView channels.

FreeSAT DVB-S2 tuner card locks HD channels on same PC.

Just thinking,.. Does TVheadend discriminate poor quality signals,.. is there a signal threshold setting?

Not to my knowledge - it would still try to tune, even if the tuning then failed because of signal quality.

I'd look to your mux definitions for the HD muxes as my first port of call. Maybe check those against ukfree.tv for your transmitter, or post screenshots of the mux settings (SD and HD) here and I'll see if there's anything blindingly obvious.

Here's what I enter to get HD services so should give you some idea of what to enter, setting some values as AUTO will result in a fail with some tuners.

Obviously change the frequency to whatever transmitter your pointed at uses.

Found the info at http://www.ukfree.tv/transmitters/tv/Oxford as commented,. although navigating this site is 'interesting'..

Anyway added the unknown mux at 762MHz,.. and fingers crossed that seems to work,...

I am curious why was this not picked up on a normal scan during setup....

screen shot of my MUX's included,.. all 7 of them.. including a strange one at 538MHz, which transmits on a groups A polarised aerial,... ( my default is C/D,.. ( would these channels just be poor quality ).

BTW,.. where can I find the actual fec Hi/Lo, bandwidth, guard interval, transmission mode setting,.. rather than just auto what I don't know....

QPSK? A Google around and I have to wonder if that's a DVB-H trial or something like local TV ("all the news that is news at the Peartree roundabout "). It's the wrong modulation for 'real' national DVB-T/T2 from what I can see, and you're too far from Cheltenham to be listening to GCHQ :-)

If you want specific settings, something like this might give them to you:

... although most of mine are left on Auto. If it works, it doesn't need fixing ...
