help with windows xmbc and oscam

i have a connection to a oscam server for sky uk

i use the clines from that in my vu box to watch tv

i just got a HP N54L server that has kodi 14 and xmbc on it as i love usa tv shows

someone told me i can link xmbc to oscam to watch live uk tv?

after 2 days of looking about, i see i need openelec, i tried to install via a zip and does want to work.

In the repos there is only two files and both crash on reboot

when i go to addons under openelec mediacenter there is nothing there, like it has not installed the repo right

anyone got a guide on how to set up? the plugin to link to my vu box or the oscam server to watch tv via xmbc?

Hi,

As far as I know you cannot link XBMC to oscam.

You can link tvheadend to oscam. So, first thing to do would be to setup TVHEADEND and oscam so that it works. ( see for example https://tvheadend.org/d/1174-tutorial-oscam-installation-ubuntu-ziggo )

Only after that, you link XBMC to tvheadend.

i already have a oscam server and a card in there on a linux machine ( no sat or tv card )

that guide is all about installing oscam, i have that already?

When you installed it didn't you enter a username and password? if you've forgot you need to reconfigure the package. On debian/ubuntu it's 'sudo dpkg-reconfigure tvheadend' not sure about other OSes.

sorted mate i had to add -c on it

now i got in, just need to see how to link oscam and this together for xbmc

im running of a pc, would it be better to do on a vu ?
