Hi,
First of all apologies! Linux is very new to me! and I’m still trying to get my head around it all!
I’ve been using TVheadend successfully on my Ubuntu 14.3 HTPC for a couple of months now using XBMC as the frontend. Everything is working great apart from FF/RW in the time shift, i appreciate this appears to be a well known bug.
I came across this:
https://github.com/tvheadend/tvheadend/pull/516
, which suggests to me that it had been fixed? so i installed successfully the TVHeadEnd from the "unstable" repo (i think it was ver: 3.9 (sorry at work at moment, so cant check). Am i right in thinking that that all fixes get added to the "unstable" repo overnight and there for the above fix should have been included? or am i getting completely confused!
I tested the Ff/Rw in time shift and i still cant get it to work, which suggest that I’ve done something wrong!!
Do i need to compile/build it instead to include the timeshift fix? this sounds a bit scary!
thanks
Ash
