Scan a manualy add muxe

Hello,
First of all many thanks for this great work !
I've to pay for such program on windows (Dvblink)

New to Linux I've a lot of discover :)

I use the 3.4.28 version on Linux Mint 17.1

So I've been in hard working for having the service and muxe that I want on 2 sat (Astra-hotbird) for French channel.

In the last I've seen that I've deleted a muxe that I need for 2 channel.
I've try to add it manually based on Sat of king.
Everything seems right with 100% quality signal, but I cannot know how to scan this muxe to have the channel on it in the service page.
I try to enabled it and restart the program to scan it, I found that it is disabled!

As it's a very big work to clean all muxe and channel that I don't need on both sat I don't want to add muxe by location or enable the auto scan or idle scan.

Any help? :)

On other hand I've to use rytec xml file for epg that I've to download with a .bat file on last os windows.

Now I've seen that it's also possible by a .sh file on Linux but how can I integrate the info in the xmltv file to tvheadend?

Hi. First of all let me be honest and say that maybe the reason you aren't getting any replies is because it is difficult to understand what your situation is because it's obvious that English is not your native language. No offense intended; I could not speak a word of French beyond "bonjour" if my life depended on it.

So let me try to address what I think you are asking. You deleted a mux and you need to add it back. So in TVHeadEnd's web interface you click on "Configuration", then in the row below it on DVB Inputs, and then on Muxes in the row below that. Then in the line just below that, you should see the word "Add", so click on that. The first box that will pop up will ask you for the Network; this should be the network associated with the correct tuner and/or LNB (basically this tells it which satellite you're trying to access, or which tuner(s) in a multi-tuner setup). After you select that you should see a box where you manually add all the details about that mux. Here are a few tips:

Leave the "Enabled" box checked.

Leave the EPG Scan set on auto since you are lucky enough to live where actual schedule data is available.

Set the scan status to PEND so it will can the mux after you add it.

The delivery system should be set to whatever that mux uses; you may need to look that upon Lyngsat or in some other reference source.

Same with the remaining parameters. They need to be set to match what the satellite is sending. If you absolutly can't find out on some of the latter ones, you can leave them set to auto but be aware that might mean they take longer to scan or tune.

Also when adding the frequency and symbol rate be aware of the units those are expressed in. Most of the time you will need to add "000" at the end of values expressed on an online reference such as Lyngsat. For example if the frequency is given as 11800 and the symbol rate as 30000 you will want to enter 11800000 and 30000000, respectively.

After you enter the correct information and save it, and give the system a couple minutes to do the initial scan, then you should be able to go into the Services tab and add the services you wish to view.

Your close of my problem but not as close..
I have already add the muxe that I need after my mistakes (deleting it) take info for kingofsat.

Everything seems alright with this muxe 100% quality of reception in the last column.

Maybe let me explain how I have to work with Tvheadend.

First after sat configuration I have made a scan by location on each sat.

On multiplex tab, there was a lot of muxes that I don't need it, so I deleted one by one to keep those that I really need.

I seen that after I restart the program there are back !

So on general tab I unchecked autodetect muxe and idle scanning;

I also check skip initial scan.

With that config I think the program doesn't make any change on muxes, great I've all that I need.

But shit I see that I deleted one that I need...

So my question is : How can I ask to tvheadend to scan only one muxe that I have to add manually after deleted it, without do a initial scan or something that change the amount of muxe that I have selected.

By the way, other info: is that a real difference between stable 3.4 and beta 3.9 version of tvheadend?

Real difference between 3.4 and 3.9 is the whole rebuild of the DVB structure, fixes in support of Oscam, fixing crashes of mkv containers when recordings overlap, ah... too much to mention. Running recordings with 3.9 is so stable compared to 3.4.
If you do not want to see muxes, you could also remove the Enable checkmark in front of the mux. And as long as you keep your "Network discovery" off, no new muxes will be added.

to scan 1 mux, you do what K Shea described: go to the muxes display, double click on the "Scan Status" field for the mux, select value "Pend" and click the "Save" action button (left top).
