TVH/OSCAM with OctopusNet [solved]

Hi,

I have installed openelec 5.0 RC1 with actual new tvheadend (3.9.2182) (great job). I use "Hauppauge Nova HD S2" Tuner in a PCI Slot and everything is running well. I have an OSCAM installed and configured as described in an earlier post

. So I can receive FTA +and+ scrambled channels.

Now I add an OctopusNet Sat>IP Receiver and configure it in tvheadend to the same "Network" as the one setup already for the Hauppauge Tuner. Everything works fine, I can receive two channels at the same time, record and so on.

The only thing that does not work is receiving scrambled channels from the OctopusNet. It always results in the message "no Access". It looks like OSCAM can descramble from the PCI Tuner but not descramble from the SAT>IP tuner.

Any idea why ? Does anybody have a working config for OSCAM with the OctopusNet ?

Ok,

I solved it myself because I came across 2 things, I read in this forum
- up to now in tvheadend 3.9.xxxx only camd ...

- DVBAPI only for local receivers....

So I configured a camd connection and - voila - every thing works fine, local receiver only, mixture of local and SAT>IP and SAT>IP only.

Hi,

thank you for sharing your results. How do you include the Octopus Net Device? Had an GSS Sat-IP device for one day & it just appeared as 4 tuner in the tuner section.

But it was not working very stable. I've made good experience with a DD CineFlex S2 card so I'm thinking about buying an DD Octopus Net.

A short feedback would be appreciated.
