Eidsiva has contractors working on the system they run for them. Its the supplier of the TV solution that maintance it, hence they only know how to run it. also they will probably play stupid to becouse they dont want anybody to know how it works so they can get around security mechanism.
anyway their system is very similar with the gpon solution Telenor uses in Forde/Floro, its not a good system if you ask me, its a "addon" solution for their SDH network, uses special equipment.
i did think alot of this today, and the Gpon is only deliverd to the house central " the zyxel box" after that its normal ethernet with multicast and 1 group pr.channel and it might be mac auth also. (no problem to get around that)
if tvheadend can utilize multicast streams, as it can (mumudvb works right?) you might get this to work. only way is to scan the tv port after the house central and see if its multicast. if so you add the multicast streams as iptv streams in tvheadend,
if you are able to add multicast streams in the tvheadend, they wil be encrypted with NDS (same shit sa get use)( a user said it works in OScam but i have not tested this) NDS is now sold to cisco, what plans do they have?
if you get OScam working with the subscription card you might get this to work.
this is a advanced solution and is by far tested. if you plan to go throug and try it, i can be of assistence.
