Problems decoding SkyUK using CWC to oscam

Hi,

I have issue with decoding skyuk channels. Tvheadend seems to only request caid 0960 instead of 0963. Is there any way to change this. I tried using the "Prefered CA pid", but 0960 and 0963 seem to have the same pid.

Example oscam log:

Hi Jenus,

I also read your message on this topic https://tvheadend.org/d/1324-code-word-client-entries, and i'm not sure to realy understand at all.

In fact the service has one PID. This "PID" has several "CAID".

Then, if you want TVH to request on 963 instead 960, you have to set the service's "Prefered CAID"=963.

(and not "prefered CA ~ PID ~ ", i suppose there is a misunderstanding here)

After, in order to resoled "rejected" group error, your "group" value in oscam.conf and oscam.server must match.

I tried to change this in tvadapters > services. I have set Prefered caid pid to 963 (for sky action HD). But tvheadend changes it back to 1280 when i save. I do not see a field Prefered CAID in the services config.

Keep in mind i'm not using a capmt connection, i connect using newcamd via the "Code world client".

Just tested, for my Canaal Digitaal card this works fine. Canaal Digitaal also has some channels with multiple caid's, but here they have separate pid's. If i select the correct pid here tvheadend saves it and it works fine.

But for my SkyUK this is not possible since 0960 and 0963 have the same pid. Here tvh keeps requesting 0960 instead of 0963.

That means when you tried to set Pref CAID=1282 for this service, it doesn't work ?

Correct, when i set 1282 it still requests 0960 instead of 0963.

Was struggling to get mine working correctly - set the preffered CIDs to 0 and it started working and has filled the following SIDs
1281 - Sony TV +1
1293 - Sony TV
1294 - Sony Movies
1295 - Motors TV UK
1295 - Sony Movies +1 (yes same as Motors TV!)

Quite strange since 0960 or 0963 are the CA type of the card (CAID)

Could you please provide your oscam.server and the newcamd part of your oscam.conf ?

Thanks for the tips, i found the problem, there was indeed a typo in my newcamd settings of oscam.conf. Seems to work ok now.

Probably your newcamd server was listening to distribute 960 instead 963 ...? ;)

Argh, that's why it didn't work for me initially too - blasted out dated instructions referring to 960 (I assume they changed when switching from the blue to the white viewing cards?)
