Above is what the linux version is.
Created DVR directory.
Created an access control list with multiple users, with various entries (0.0.0.0/0 and actual IP's and server name 192.168.3.1/0) or tvserver.
Where do I start, first it takes forever for it to find the muxes. The information and capabilities panel shows frequency range of 58000 Khz thru 858000 Khz yet if I watch the scan it starts at 999,000Khz and hits everything above the 858,000Khz as well as down to 19,000Khz. This of course give errors, and when it finally gets down to 441,000Khz at 24 muxes left it stops. I may have a defective mux in that freq range, just not sure. So I finally select the atsc mid freq range, don't ask me, should be Qam but the later always locks up. Finally after 12 + hours it finishes and gives the option to Map the DVB Services to channels.
Well lets say it should but it doesn't. From syslog "tvheadend[1437]: web interface: Service probe started on "Samsung S5H1409 QAM/8VSB Frontend", everytime I select it this is what is posted, oh and then lets scan some more." 12 hours later no more scanning so I should have channels. Not that I can see, errors, nope, nothing.
So let me try this again, same scenerio, nothing. But the good news is I do have a button that is not greyed out, show muxes with 100% signal quality, modulation and MuxIds. Changed hts and All associated folders to rwx permissions (I don not know why I have an hts folder in /Home, since when I installed it I gave it my userid and passwd for my home directory).
So I was hoping someone could point to what I have and go Aha, this is a step you forgot.
Here is some of the entries when it scans again when I select Map channels.
: Add service "_dev_dvb_adapter0_Samsung_S5H1409_QAM_8VSB_Frontend591000000_00cb" on "591,000 kHz"
Mar 08 19:31:36 PSI: Service "Samsung S5H1409 QAM/8VSB Frontend/591,000 kHz" PMT (version 9) updated, PCR PID changed, New elementary stream, Language changed, New CA stream, New CAID, PIDs reordered
Mar 08 19:31:36 dvb: "591,000 kHz" on adapter "Samsung S5H1409 QAM/8VSB Frontend", status changed to Bursty FEC
Mar 08 19:31:46 dvb: "591,000 kHz" on adapter "Samsung S5H1409 QAM/8VSB Frontend", status changed to OK
Although in syslog I do get a bunch of this type of error, which I think is reatled to samba and a cups server. But I might as well post a snippet also.
