Hi all,
I'm trying to set up a Pi2 as a general purpose media server, and TVHeadend is giving me some problems. I've got it installed fine from the repo (using Raspbian Jessie Lite and the release version), but it cannot see my tuner (a HD Homerun Connect with a static IP address). If I go to configuration > DVB Inputs > TV Adapters the list is empty (I just see the TV adapters folder, with nothing below it).
The HDHR is accessible fine from my network via Kodi and also via their own app on my tablet, and if I set up OSMC with the TVHeadend server from their app-store that can see it too, so there's nothing wrong in the hardware or network side. But I want to have this as part of a wider server (using OpenMediaVault to give me SMB, NFS and Plex as well) so I'd prefer to be able to install under Raspbian or the OMV image set-up.
So my question is what else do I need to install and/or configure to get TVH to see my tuners on such an install? I've seen a lot of stuff around the net about dvbhdhomerun and other stuff, but I think that's all older stuff for previous versions of TVH as I've seen some comments too that it's not needed. In any case I can't get any of it to build properly on the Pi2 via SSH. Is there some up to date tutorial or guidance on how to get TVH to talk to a HDHomerun when run under Raspbian?
