Unfortunately there are very few people actually working on Tvheadend so many posts go unanswered, don't take it personally.

poll TIMEOUT &scan no data, failed indicate that the issue is either with the hardware or the frequency used is incorrect. Make sure that the frequency is 100% correct, correct number of zeros, etc.
I have a PCTV Nanostick that uses the em28xx module and up until recently this would fail for no reason, however it appears to be resolved in newer kernels.
