OK - most hurdles taken - meanwhile managed to get the configuration tab by shutting down and start up again: odd?!
Anyway that did not show any TV devices in DVB Inputs ( kernel 3.14.4 ). Therefore I reviewed " http://support.digital-devices.de/knowledgebase.php?article=124 " and indeed after compiling these drivers it showed me the TV Adapters I was expecting; to be precise Digial Devices " stv090x (DVB-S2) and stv0367 (DVB-C) " :
~$ i2cdetect -l
i2c-0 i2c i915 gmbus ssc I2C adapter
i2c-1 i2c i915 gmbus vga I2C adapter
i2c-2 i2c i915 gmbus panel I2C adapter
i2c-3 i2c i915 gmbus dpc I2C adapter
i2c-4 i2c i915 gmbus dpb I2C adapter
i2c-5 i2c i915 gmbus dpd I2C adapter
i2c-6 smbus ddbridge SMBus adapter
i2c-7 smbus ddbridge SMBus adapter
i2c-8 smbus ddbridge SMBus adapter
i2c-9 smbus ddbridge SMBus adapter
~$ lspci -k # notice " ddbridge " while it showed " DDbridge " in first post
<snip snip>
03:00.0 Multimedia controller: Digital Devices GmbH Octopus LE DVB adapter
Subsystem: Digital Devices GmbH Device 0021
Kernel driver in use: ddbridge
~$ lsmod |grep ngene
ngene 30864 0
cxd2099 17240 2 ngene,ddbridge
dvb_core 94172 2 ngene,ddbridge
i2c_core 24265 14 drm,i915,i2c_i801,i2c_dev,cxd2099,ngene,tda18212dd,ddbridge,drm_kms_helper,i2c_algo_bit,stv090x,lnbp21,stv0367dd,stv6110x
Still leaves me a bit in the dark why I did not see the Config tab initially.
Anyway I will carry on and meanwhile hope the build server will be back sooner or later.
