I think Connection Lost Access Denied is not due to weak signal. There must me some access settings at TVHeadEnd that is denying access to this 10.0.0.11 client

Not sure what is that?

Hi All,

Is there any options at server end to control and set the server buffering, or how to deal with buffering while using TVHeadEnd?

I am using HTSP plugIn with VLC right now!

Also, I need one more info regarding the TVHeadEnd System Log, when connected to XBMC Client -

an 12 21:58:25 subscription: "10.0.0.11 [ admin | XBMC Media Center ]" subscribing on "9X",*weight: 150*, adapter: "TurboSight TBS 6985 DVBS/S2 frontend", network: "DD DIRECT +", mux: "DD DIRECT +: 11,150,000 kHz Vertical (Default (Port 0, Universal LNB))", provider: "DD", service: "9X", quality: 100

Jan 12 21:58:25 TS: TurboSight TBS 6985 DVBS/S2 frontend/DD DIRECT +: 11,150,000 kHz Vertical (Default (Port 0, Universal LNB))/9X: MPEG2VIDEO @ #531: Continuity counter error

What is weight: 150, in the first line of SYSTEM log?

What are these continuity errors?

Please suggest!

Regards,
ErSehmi

All buffering is done on the client side.
Look around in VLC, there might be option to set streaming buffer size.

continuity errors could be related to bad signal - but I'm not sure.
If there is just few here and there, I would not worry about it. All signals coming over the air will have few errors in it.

Weight in other words is priority. If multiple clients/tasks need to use one tuner, then weight comes into the play. If you look at the log, then you see that epggrab runs every now and then, and epggrab has weight 1. So when you watch a channel and epggrab wants to run, then your subscription (weight 150) outweighs epggrab and epggrab request will be denied. Or something like that.
