[Partly Solved] Oscam SAT-IP Descrambling only works if start the channel via VLC first

Added by g gebruikerh about 1 year ago

Hi All,

After a few day testing trying etc, I got the SAT-IP connection to my Panasonic client working:).
But now I have an issue with my descrambling. I have Oscam connection with dvbapi with works fine with my kodi clients.

But if I select an channel that needs descrambling on satip client. I'm getting the message on my client. Channel is Scrambled.

The follow message is given in OSCAM:
2019/06/13 22:11:01 3191AF85 c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 found 6 ECMpids and 1 STREAMpids in caPMT
2019/06/13 22:11:01 3191AF85 c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 found channel in cache and matching prio -> start descrambling ecmpid 4
2019/06/13 22:11:01 3191AF85 c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 trying to descramble PID 4 CAID 0604 PROVID 000000 ECMPID 0803 ANY CHID PMTPID 07D0 VPID 07D1
2019/06/13 22:11:01 3191AF85 c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 continue decoding of SRVID 4C05
2019/06/13 22:11:01 3191AF85 c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 found 6 ECMpids and 1 STREAMpids in caPMT
2019/06/13 22:11:01 3191AF85 c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 found 6 ECMpids and 6 STREAMpids in PMT
2019/06/13 22:11:01 3191AF85 c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 stop descrambling program number 4C05 ([email protected]:4C05 unknown)

But if I start the same Channel on my PC via VLC (mux channel) the descrambling works on my sat ip client. And even if I switch after 20 sec my channel on my PC (VLC) is stays on working until I switch on a channel on my Sat IP Client.

So somehow my Sat ip Client is not generating the correct trigger the first time to OSCAM to start decode.. I have google allot but can not find the solution. It should be something simple.. But I need to some help in this.

Both don't work.

If test the channel via HTTP is works perfectly.

Filter CAID
Configuration > Stream > Stream filters > CA stream filters
set IGNORE to unused
and USE to correct

Next is debugging deep in url sniffing ;)

See config attached. Should be correct. But all the same error message.

For the debugging Wireshark?

Try to increase debug logs in TVH
Configuration > Debug

tbl-satip, rtsp, satips
maby and some others

My guess is that TVH pass stream without descramble

maby issue ticket need to be created
Somehow

HDhomerun > TVH Sat>IP server > Sat>IP client

skip descrambling or url used to call stream is wrong.

Is there any setting for hdhomerun in tvh?

[First of all, English is not my native language :) ]

I don't know if this applies to this question, but okay, not shot is always wrong. I have a provider that offers replay TV and uses an RTSP stream for that, I cannot add this stream in TVH because the provider first expects a DESCRIBE command instead of a SETUP command. Now I have just looked in the RFC 7826 and I see in the examples (https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc7826#appendix-A) that they indeed first send a DESCRIBE command for the SETUP command, I want not to say that this could be the case here but this information is more under the guise of FYI ;)

Hi Saen,

See screenshot attached I see no setting for SAT>IP for HDhomerun. Maybe it's the combination that not works? HDHR, TVH, SATIP?
Although my internal WETEK tuner has the same problem.

Or may Zapp-IT information could be correct? But I can't explain why FTA channel do work and decramble channels not..

Or is there maybe something wrong in my network?

Select option remove Scrambled bit
TV is stupid and do not try to play if bit not removed from stream

If look at the TvH log it looks like in a split second it give info to Oscam to start de-crypting, but also give the info to stop the de-crypting. Than it stil keep sending a stream to the TV, but no decoding has been done. Oscam wil start again but the information is not add to the stream anymore. So it looks like an issue. I think Tvh but it also could be Oscam.

What do you say?

Else we can organise TeamViewer/Anydesk session to test some other things.

Hi Sean,

Thanks for input. I will keep on trying and play with Oscam to see if I can get it working. Do some more reading.
And maybe we can do a teamviewer session to see what is happing. It strange it seems that more people use the same kind solution as me. But al do have slightly different set-up, than me and have different problems....

I even installed the solution on my Synology NAS yesterday.. same issue..So it not hardware depended as far as I can see.

Select option remove Scrambled bit
TV is stupid and do not try to play if bit not removed from stream

That option is only for the source and is for the case when the source has descrambled the stream, but did not unst the scramnled bits. (If I remember correctly, the origin of this option was that a CI+ module which was doing this.)

If this option is checked for a source which IS NOT decrypting, it will cause tvheadend to not try to decrypt because it will assume it is already decrypted.

So, with it set, tvheadend is just sending the encrypted stream with the encrypted bit unset, which the tv sees as garbage...

Maybe a trace of descrambler and capmt would be helpful.

You can also try to increase the "Configuration->General->Base->Descrambler buffer (TS packets)" which may help if there is a slight delay in getting keys.
