TVHeadend EPG in LibreElec

Hi all,

I am having issues getting the EPG in TVHeadend to populate, so I thought I would try XMLTV, but I am struggling to find a good step by step guide on how to install XMLTV from beginning to end.

I am a novice, just starting to use LibreElec, I have installed TVHeadend 4.2, I enable my TV Card which is a DVB-S USB stick. I am in the UK so setup my card with 28.2 Astra. I can get all the channels setup, but the EPG will not populate more than 50 channels with the Over the Air channels. I have also used Bouquets.

I have cancelled Sky as do not want to pay their prices, so really need some help with setting this up. I would really appreciate a walkthrough to install XMLTV. I use a Windows 7 laptop to link to the LibreElec box when using SMB and to configure TVHeadend.

Hi all,

I managed to get Webgrabplus addon working in TVHeadend and the EPG is populating. I uploaded guide.xml into the XMLTV setting in TVHeadend config in the addon. The only issue I am having is with the TVHeadend guide timeline, this is not populating?

Any ideas?

This is exactly the same im looking for.

Im running LibreELEC and TVHeadend 4.2 But i really dont know how to setup EPG information for it.

Can you please help me with a step by step guide?

You can alwys have a look at https://freetoairamerica.wordpress.com/2014/12/03/some-hints-for-getting-free-to-air-satellite-channels-into-the-electronic-program-guide-in-kodi-or-xbmc-or-another-frontend/ but since the "Elec" type software won't let you access a Linux command line, and because you are not in North America, it won't be fully applicable, though parts of it still may be.
