Hi,
I'm having issues with recordings buffering on connections outside of my local network and struggling to figure out why.
I'm using a RPI3 with an external HDD. Normal connections of "live content" play flawlessly and I have an upstream of 30Mbit/s. It is only recorded content that is suffering.
The HDD is formatted to ext4.
Here are the test results on the drive which leads me to believe performance isn't a problem either.
Timing buffered disk reads: 100 MB in 3.04 seconds = 32.89 MB/sec
Timing cached reads: 1246 MB in 2.00 seconds = 623.24 MB/sec
And write speed.
419921920 bytes (420 MB) copied, 33.072 s, 22.7 MB/s
I am connecting directly to the server through an open port, no VPN. (Bad practice, I know).
Any ideas on what exactly could be causing this? There are no firewalls or filters on my router.
Cheers
