This really should be simpler than it is. I've been banging my head against the wall all morning and can't crack this code. There is a ton of possibly outdated information on the web, and possible in this forum. Let me tell you what I have and what I want to do.
I have the following:
1) Raspberry Pi 3
2) HDHomeRun CONNECT
I want to install raspbian and get Tvheadend running so that it can service 2 Kodi boxes on the same network. I performed the following:
1) Installed setup latest Raspbian jessie LITE build
2) Added the Tvheadend respository to the /etc/apt/sources.list (deb
http://dl.bintray.com/tvheadend/deb jessie release)
3) Successfully installed tvheadend successfully
4) Ran "sudo apt-get install libhdhomerun-dev" (not sure if this was necessary)
5) Reboot
However, my HDHomeRun tuners are not showing up under Configuration -> DVB Input -> TV Adapters
Did I miss a step? What do I need to do to get these things to show up?
I also went to this page:
https://www.tvheadend.org/projects/tvheadend/wiki/HDHomerun
It says "that page explains how to get TVH to recognize the HDHomeRun", but I don't see anything on that page explaining how to even install it, much less get it to recognize the HDHomeRun.
